TheHomeGround Asia Feature – In Conversation With: Viaano Spruyt, founder and CEO of Huddlehumans

Alright Huddlers, here’s a sweet piece of feature for you to check out today!

Our founder, Viaano, gets up close and personal with TheHomeGround Asia journalist, James, to talk about Huddlehumans. A very real and authentic piece where Viaano also shared about the struggles of losing his dad to illness in the early days of building Huddlehumans.

“Perhaps the biggest challenge I faced was the sudden passing of my father. It was during the early part of Huddlehumans. He was a huge part of my life and losing him was very tough. It was a very difficult time. I don’t know how but I found the courage and strength to keep pursuing this passion project (Huddlehumans) of mine. I just felt like it was what my father would have wanted me to do. He wanted me to be happy and follow my dream of making the world a better place.”

Here are some other points he touched on:

  • The origins and reasons behind the creation of Huddlehumans
  • The future of Huddlehumans
  • Some tips to improve our mental health in the current COVID climate

About Huddlehumans

Huddlehumans is a global platform that strives to bring people together to challenge the social norms and stigma surrounding mental health.

Founded in 2017, we have endeavoured to provide a safe and non-judgemental portal for those with mental health issues to congregate and share their experiences. Recognising that mental illness is often an area shrouded in taboo and stigma, we made it a global mission to normalise mental health and continue to work tirelessly to break down barriers that prevent the disadvantaged from accessing mental health support.
